Wednesday, September 25, 2024: Join us for a wonderful evening of storytelling and song! This event will benefit Friends of the Howe House and will take place at Van Vleck House and Gardens, Montclair, NJ. Carol is delighted to be back, sharing a couple of original tunes.
The theme for this exciting event is “Build Me a Future” where local professional performers and writers share original stories, songs, and art! Proceeds from this event will benefit Friends of the Howe House to continue to preserve this historic home and work towards creating a place to educate and inform the community about the rich African American history and roots here in New Jersey. We hope you’ll join us for a night you won’t forget! Hosted by actress and producer, Liz Samuel. Art performed live by Merrie Koehlert. Storytellers include Arian Keddell (Broadway’s CHICAGO), Gary Rudoren (comedy writer, architect and MHS teacher), Karin Arbarbanel (playwrite and author) Dionne Ford (author, GO BACK AND GET IT), Nicole Gray (writer and Howe House board member) and Rachael Quinn Egan (writer and poet) Music by Stacia Thiel and Carol Crittenden.
